The City of Dover’s first responders, emergency providers, social service organizations, and schools are facing an increase in mental health related crises. Communities across the country are facing this same reality. How Dover is responding to these challenges is the topic of a webinar held on April 21. During the webinar, which was held via Zoom, a panel of Dover officials dealing with the crisis discussed what the mental health response looks like right now, the challenges and successes, and what the next steps are moving forward. The webinar is the first in a series of sessions focusing on Dover, and is hosted by the Center for Ethics in Society at Saint Anselm College, and will be moderated by Laura Knoy, the former host of The Exchange on New Hampshire Public Radio. The panelists for this session include Dover Police Chief William Breault; Christine Boston, Assistant Superintendent for Student Services for the Dover School District; Christopher Kozak, member of the Strafford County Public Health Network Advisory Committee and Dover Mental Health Alliance; and Suzanne Weete, Community Education and Engagement Manager for Community Partners.
