Bronze Star Medal award ceremony for George Riordan

At a ceremony held at Dover City Hall on Friday, June 3, Hospital Corpsman Third Class George Riordan, who was killed in the Vietnam War in 1968, was posthumously awarded a Bronze Star Medal for his service. In attendance were military officials, including Portsmouth Naval Shipyard Commander Capt. Michael Oberdorf, Dover Mayor Robert Carrier, family and friends, and Sen. Jeanne Shaheen.
